The Big Bake Up
About
A shout out to all those Mum's plodding along each day and feeling the effects of the organisational mind field of running a house… it's quite overwhelming at times.
One of my passions for providing this service is being able to reach those that wouldn't usually ask for help.
I have been fortunate enough at times to have received that little parcel at the door of baking or some groceries dropped off.
It's the nicest feeling when you are not expecting it!
We are here to provide this.
Many won't reach out so friends please read this and know we are happy for you to take a meal for a friend.
The Big Bake Up is a not-for-profit organisation, set up in July 2021 after the Westport floods devastated many homes in their region and we wanted to help in some small way.
Whether it’s some of Nana’s home baking, a beautiful cooked meal, some much needed groceries or one of our lovely care packages, we are here to provide support to those affected by something unexpected.
We receive nominations or we hear of someone deserving, we check on people after an event or natural disaster and we offer something sweet at a time when all else seems too difficult.
We love that we can offer a little kindness that may just brighten someone’s day.
