Mothers
Circles
What is a mothers circle?
… and why do I need one?
Are you looking for real conversation with other mothers who just get it? Motherhood can be lonely and with everyone holding the baby who’s holding you?
Our circles cut the BS and focus on building connection, sharing about the things that really matter and being heard by other mothers.
We focus on the you and your journey, a safe space to be honest, curious and supportive. It’s all about celebrating our milestones, uplifting and empowering each other. Real connections are made when you’re sharing authentically and that’s what the village is all about!
Show up wherever you’re at, grab a cuppa and join us.
We’ve got you.
Each circle is different, but generally it looks a bit like this:
Simple breathing or grounding exercise
Intros and quick check in
Topic and sharing time
Morning tea and time to connect
As mums we all get that babies need to cry (and sometimes so do we!) and may crawl/run around, we all try to work together to be the village, so every mum can share if she wants to

FAQ’s
Women have sat in circles for thousands of years.
We’re not doing anything strange or magical, just cutting the BS and sharing honestly about what motherhood is like and how it’s changing us.
Most women leave feeling lighter and able to be more present with their children and partners!
Aren’t Circles a bit woo woo?
What if I cry or have big emotions come up?
You won’t be the first!
Motherhood can be hard and messy, it has huge ups and downs, part of the circle culture is to be there for the good and bad. You’re not alone and we’ve got you!
Can I bring babies and/or older children?
Babies in arms are always welcome. While we encourage you to find someone you feel safe with to care for older children, so that you can take time for yourself, we regularly have toddlers there too.
Our open circles are for any mother that needs her village,
How much do they cost?
They’re free!
The kind folk at Tasman Council and COGS sponsor our circles so that mothers can have more access to services that support their mental wellbeing.
We’re always on the lookout for ways to keep these circles accessible to everyone and welcome koha and support from local businesses looking to show our mamas how much they matter!
