Mama Shine Doula
About
Welcome.
I’m Bekki, Mother, Doula, Space Holder, Tea Enthusiast and believer in the innate wisdom of a woman’s body.
I love to nourish the mother in every sense; passionate about food, connection and mental wellbeing. I combine my history of work in healthcare and knowledge of women’s health and natural parenting to provide truly holistic support through Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum.
Becoming a Mama is one of the most divine, challenging and rewarding roles we will ever take on. As a Doula I become a part of your village, walking beside you on your motherhood journey.
What is a Doula?
A doulas role is to become a part of your village, supporting you in your journey of pregnancy birth and postpartum. I provide emotional and physical support as well as helping to make sense of all the information that comes up during the process.
As a skilled, non-medical professional, I value the whole mother and the continuity of care and ensure the mother feels heard, supported and in control.

Reviews
At 37 weeks, I have spent so much time preparing for the birth itself and not as much time thinking about the postpartum period. Bekki’s step by step plan has been the perfect introduction to help me consider what I would like my postpartum period to look like. Bekki dives into everything from hormone levels, foods for breastfeeding, emotional support, self care, and empowering the mother after the baby is born. There are extra tools such as a Village Building Booklet, to help harness your 21st century village, and helpful messages for guests that can be stuck to the front door or fridge. I have continued to add to my plan after our consultation and look forward to utilising it after the baby is born.

Bekki - I wanted to thank you for your support over the last couple of months. It’s been a huge transition and hard to even anticipate what that will feel like and what I need. You definitely made me feel heard and validated, and gave me some great luxury, nourishing food and well needed company in conversation. Thank you
